Product Description
Volair CMD HYB Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Cowabunga on the pickleball court!
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from childhood now appear on the Volair CMD HYB. According to information provided by Volair, this is an officially licensed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) version, combining nostalgic spirit with the CMD Hybrid 16mm platform, Channel Core technology, and HexGrit™ surface.
From resets requiring feel to proactive speed-ups at the kitchen, the CMD HYB TMNT aims for a balance of ball feel, spin generation, and maneuverability. A choice to bring your childhood mark into today's matches. Cowabunga!
KEY FEATURES
- Licensed TMNT version: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme on the CMD HYB platform, as announced by the brand.
- Channel Core: concentrates the flex at the contact area to increase dwell time while maintaining power, according to Volair's design direction.
- Off-center contact support: channels in the lower paddle area are designed to increase stability, aiming for a larger and more consistent sweet spot.
- Full Floating EPP Foam Core: a fully floating EPP core combined with patent-pending Engineered Flex, surrounded by EVA Foam to fine-tune feedback.
- Licensed HexGrit™: surface technology aimed at maintaining grit and spin performance over time of use.
- Hybrid Shape: 16.25 inches long, 7.75 inches wide configuration, aimed at versatile handling from resets to speed-ups.
CHANNEL CORE – SOFT CONTACT FEEL AND CONNECTION
Channel Core was developed to adjust how the paddle face flexes at the point of contact. According to Volair, the design helps the ball sink more naturally, extending interaction time and supporting consistent feedback when the contact point changes. The goal is to make it easier for players to feel and control the ball in both defensive and transition-to-offense plays.
HEXGRIT™ – GRIP FOR SPINNING SHOTS
Volair states that HexGrit™ is designed to maintain surface texture over longer play times compared to traditional peel-ply carbon surfaces. This technology aims to maintain interaction with the ball to support spin generation; it does not mean a commitment to a non-wearing surface or unchanged performance under all conditions of use.
The above metrics are specifications provided for the product, not individual measurement results of each paddle at PicklePlay.
